The life of a pirate may not be suitable for Johnny Depp's personality or interests

An alleged $301 million deal to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean films surfaced on June 27.As recently as four years ago, an insider told PopTopic, "Disney is very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp." It's hoped that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character.

Actor Johnny Depp's representative said, "This is made up," to NBC News.

Captain Jack Sparrow was played by Johnny Depp in each of the five films in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, the most recent being 2017's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who is currently working on two more films with Johnny Depp, was asked about the actor returning for future projects back in May. He told The Sunday Times, "Not at this point." There is no certainty about the future.

In the middle of his Amber Heard defamation trial, Johnny Depp made the comments. While testifying, Depp stated that he has no plans to return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in future Pirates films.

Ben Rottenborn, Heard's attorney, posed the question to the actor at one point "Mr. Depp, even if Disney offered you $300 million and a million alpacas, you wouldn't return to work on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?"Mr. Rottenborn, that is indeed the case."

A jury in Virginia later found Heard liable for defaming Johnny Depp

For compensatory damages, the jury awarded $10 million; for punitive damages, the jury awarded $5 million. Judge Penney Azcarate of the Fairfax County Circuit Court later reduced the punitive damages to $350,000, which is the state's statutory cap or legal limit, bringing his total damages down to less than $10,4 million..

The jury awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages in her countersuit.Next year, Depp will embark on an international tour with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates, including rock legends Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen.
